Brief:

To carry out a phase 1 environmental desk top study and assess the risks to sensitive receptors both on and off-site due to soil and groundwater contamination as a result of the proposed development.

Project:

The proposed development comprised demolition of the former Sports and Social Club and erection of nine detached and semi-detached dwellings, with private gardens. It appeared that there had been significant cut and fill undertaken to level the site and nearby landfill sites were identified. An intrusive investigation was recommended to investigate the nature of the on site fill and monitor for land gas.
